AGI Open Biel/Bienne

21./22. September 2015

Palais des Congrès, Biel

The venue of the AGI Open conference will be the Congress Center (Kongresshaus in German and Palais des Congrès in French) in Biel/Bienne. Because of its high-rise office tower the Congress Center is the most visible landmark of the city. Designed by architect Max Schlup and built in 1966, the building is the most famous example of the modern architecture in Biel/Bienne. Under one of European’s largest suspended roofs the Congress Center hosts a large conference hall for 1000 people. It is located in the heart of the city, only a stone’s throw away from the train station.

Situated just on the german/french language border, Biel/Bienne is a melting pot, home to people from 128 countries. As the center of the Swiss watch industy, the city is well-connected worldwide – and yet Biel/Bienne is unknown to many Swiss. AGI Open will set out to change that!

The Congress Centre is right in the heart of the city. Thanks to its high-rise office tower it can be seen from anywhere. It is also in walking distance from the train station.
